These three gentlemen were sitting in a hotel lobby, so engaged in their conversation that they did not notice me sketching them. I just loved the rhythm of their poses, and how the three of them formed one weird shape...
Today I dug out my little ink sketch and worked a small oil study for a larger painting I have in mind.
